Personal story.

Dr. Ashot Navasardian is a scientist, engineer, and founder of Puremelting Inc — a startup born from the need to recycle and refine precious and semi-metals more efficiently and sustainably.

With a PhD in Electrical Engineering, he spent over a decade researching and developing cutting-edge purification technologies including zone melting, solvent extraction, and furnace design. His work has been applied in solar, jewelry, and mining industries.

After leading projects in Russia’s top refining companies and receiving a U.S. research grant for solar tech, he launched Puremelting in Los Angeles to combine eco-smelting with precision metal recovery from e-waste.

Today, Puremelting is a lab and pilot-scale facility focused on turning innovative ideas into real refining processes.
